The Overseas Lawyers Qualification Examination (“OLQE”) is an annual examination for foreign and overseas lawyers who wish to be admitted as Hong Kong solicitors.
The examination is set by the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Written Papers
Head I – Conveyancing
Head II – Civil and Criminal Procedure
Head III – Commercial and Company Law
Head IV – Accounts and Professional Conduct
Head VI – Hong Kong Constitutional Law
Candidates must sit all 5 papers unless the Law Society grants an exemption.
Oral Examination
Head V – Principles of Common Law (only for non-common lawyers)
